Who we are

I oversee the operation of the foodbank and together with the team and trustees, guide the development of the foodbank including its material resources, financial assets, reputation, partnerships and volunteer body. 

I am responsible for the foodbank warehouse, receiving donations, and preparing and delivering food parcels to the distribution network.

As the foodbank administrator and volunteer recruiter I manage the day to day admin, email accounts and various project work. I also coordinate the recruitment of dedicated volunteers to support Southend Foodbank's mission.  

I am part of Trussell's OLM program (Organising and Local Mobilisation), acting to create change and end the needs for foodbanks. Southend is a Trussell media centre and I am responsible for media enquiries and the foodbank's communications.

I encourage our local community to get involved in fundraising events and activities throughout the year and support and encourage others to undertake their own fundraising activities within their school, church, organisation, business etc. 

I work on a project to improve and expand the information that the foodbank shares with people who need additional help beyond food.
