Behind the numbers of parcels and tonnes of food are amazing people who make Southend Foodbank what it is.
Meet the team
Behind all our amazing volunteers there is a small staff team, dedicated to making sure no-one has to go hungry in Southend. All of our paid staff are part-time, as a team we work 2.2 full time equivalent hours, and some are funded by grants to cover project or overhead costs.
Rachael
I oversee the operation of the foodbank and together with the team and trustees, guide the development of the foodbank including its material resources, financial assets, reputation, partnerships and volunteer body.
Vacancy
I am responsible for the foodbank warehouse, and I manage the stock, overseeing what comes in and goes out and making sure we have a enough to support our distribution network.
Danielle
As the foodbank administrator I manage the day to day admin, email accounts and various project work that keeps the foodbank running smoothly.
Lynnette
I actively manage and support our valuable and dedicated Volunteer team through recruitment and training, to extend Southend Foodbank’s important mission across the region.
