Greatest Hits Radio Essex interview with Cass Francis

Media and Campaigns Coordinator Cass Francis was interviewed by Charlotte Evans-Young from Greatest Hits Radio Essex about the widening gap between the amount being donated and how much is required to respond to increasing local need.

The interview is available on our website.

Can you donate some food this week?

These are the most urgently needed items:
  • UHT milk
  • tinned chilli and curry
  • tinned vegetables – peas, sweetcorn and carrots
  • long-life puddings – rice pudding, custard and jam
We also need reusable carrier bags to pack our food parcels in. If you have any spare, please donate them. Carrier bags can be dropped off at our donation points. For details of your nearest drop-off point, please visit our website.

Football fans support Southend Foodbank

Southend Foodbank would like to say a big thank you to Southend United Football Club Community and Educational Trust, all the team at Roots Hall and Sammy the Shrimp for making us feel so welcome at the match day collection on Saturday, 18 March 2023. Thank you also to all the generous Shrimpers fans who donated food and money on the day. We raised over £1100 in cash donations.

You can still donate food and toiletries at the Blues’ Box Office, which is open 11am to 4pm on weekdays and 10am to 2pm on Saturday.
