This winter there are some changes to Southend Foodbank’s opening times.
Southend Foodbank is closed on Monday 26th and Thursday 29th December.
On Friday 30th we will be at a different location, opening at Belle Vue instead of Earls Hall.
There are also days when one foodbank session is closed but the other regular session remains open: on Wednesday 28th St Saviours will be closed but Eastwood will be open; on Monday 2nd January Ferndale will be closed but Hawkwell will be open. This means that there are only 4 days when the foodbank is completely closed: Christmas Day and Boxing Day, Thursday 29th and New Years Day. You can choose which session is most convenient for you when bringing your voucher to the foodbank. If your nearest session is closed, you will be very welcome at a different location. Many referral agencies will also be closed for some of the holiday, especially on bank holiday Monday 26th and Tuesday 27th; and Monday 2nd January. You can use a different referral agency if the place you have used before is closed for the holidays.
Citizens Advice in Southend have an extra number just for food voucher referrals over the break, as well as their usual number.
