Roots Hall 3rd December 2022

12th November 2022

Southend Foodbank will be back at Roots Hall on December 3rd for a matchday collection around the ground. It’s an early kick-off, 12.30pm.

Whether you’re a regular Shrimper or looking for some live football while your EFL team are taking a break, it’s going to be a good day to get down to Roots Hall – and we’ll be there too, collecting food, cash and having a chat about foodbanks and football.

People don’t always have a spare tin of custard in their pocket, so letting people know about the collection in advance really helps make the day a success (although we’re always happy to take your money and buy the food we need afterwards on your behalf too). If you live or work near Roots Hall please get in touch and we’ll happily drop a printed poster for you to display, or if you’re very online we have social graphics you can share – check out our Twitter and Instagram accounts. You might also spot our leaflets in the Spread Eagle and Blue Boar pubs, where Fans Supporting Southend Foodbanks have regular collection points for the foodbank all season.

If you have time to help out with the matchday collection, you can sign up to get involved or find out more information here: http://forms.gle/pFBc9WMuMJQBCPnS7 (link opens Google form, does not require sign in)
